Our Professional Staff
Melissa is a one-of-a-kind audiologist and she absolutely loves her profession. With more than a decade of experience, Melissa’s ability to test, modify, and customize hearing aids is unmatched, combined with her passion for hearing health and her patients she has really set herself apart in the profession. Melissa has worked in a variety of settings throughout her career including, ENT offices, private practice, nursing homes, Industrial, even military testing sites. Melissa is a South Dakota girl, a Custer, SD native she also spent her summers on her family’s ranch in White River, SD, she earned her BA in Communication disorders and MA in Audiology from the University of South Dakota in Vermillion. When she is not at work, this busy mother of three loves the occasional nap! She also loves being outside and spending time with her family.
When it comes to managing the office, Tyler is the guy. A seasoned business professional, he's devoted to keeping the office running smoothly all while keeping the patient experience, hearing health, and new technologies at the forefront. He basically grew up with business, he lived on the same land that his family operated a sawmill/logging operation in the Black Hills. He brings over a decade of customer service and business management to our office with past experience as a commercial real estate department manager and most recently an insurance agency manager. A Rockerville, SD native, Tyler earned a BS in Psychology and a minor in English from The University of South Dakota in Vermillion, SD. When not at work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife and kids, woodworking (you may notice some of his influence around the office), watching baseball, and taking the occasional fly fishing trip.
Renae comes to the office with a passion for health and wellness, and has over 20 years of experience working with individuals, helping them to improve their health. This path has led her to Baker Audiology. So much of our overall wellness has to do with both cognitive health and our ability to communicate with others. Renae feels that the hearing industry is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to help people with their hearing loss; with all of the advancements in technology it really is life changing, and Renae is excited to be part of the process of helping coach people adjust to life with hearing aids.
Renae is a South Dakota girl, her hometown is De Smet, known as the “Little Town on the Prairie”. She attended Northern State University(NSU) in Aberdeen and graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Teaching. She was a collegiate athlete, playing basketball for NSU. These experiences have given her a strong work ethic, and an ability to face challenges head on. Renae and her husband Lance have two beautiful daughters, Brooke and Somer. Lance is an assistant principal at Lincoln High School. Brooke is in her second year at Northern State, and she will soon have her second daughter Somer, also part of the wolf pack up in Aberdeen. She enjoys spending time with her family, watching her daughters in their sporting events, working out, and is an animal lover! One of her favorite past times, is taking long walks with her Labradoodle, named Berkley.
